- The equipment incorporated in the process line is capable of performing the following operations:
- fish sorting;
- fish dressing;
- sorting of viscera and further packing of milt
All equipment components are laid out such that the whole production process could be continuous with minimum maintenance personnel and did not occupy large production areas.
Raw material is supplied to a sorting table/bin where fish is sorted. Then it is fed via a crossover tray to a fish dressing machine where the following operations are performed:
- head cutting
- separation of viscera
Cut heads are fed to a crossover tray and then via a transfer conveyor proceed to a scraper conveyor which sends them for disposal.
Viscera are fed to a horizontal conveyor for collection and transfer to the sorting area where they proceed via a transfer conveyor. A transit conveyor directs viscera to a sac roe/milt segregation conveyor where:
- intestines are selected to a tray for collection and transfer
- milt is selected to a tray for milt collection and transfer to a packing table
Intestines pass via a waste suction pump and are further sent to a waste crusher.
Milt is fed via its tray to a rod divider and then to a sorting area.
Headed and gutted fish bodies are fed to a tray for additional cleaning where they are cleaned from viscera leftovers and then are fed by a transfer conveyor to a rod divider where viscera pieces are separated from the main fish flow. Then bodies are fed by a twin scraper conveyor to a twin accumulation bin and further to a packing area.
All plant equipment, except for quick freezers, was manufactured by Technological Equipment Company at its own manufacturing site in Vladivostok. Technological Equipment Company has been designing and manufacturing fishing processing plants and refrigerated warehouses, developing and introducing waste free technologies, designing and manufacturing modern high-tech serial equipment for fish processing for 19 years. During its lifetime, the company has implemented 50 major engineering projects in the Russian Far East achieving good practical results in recovery of Russia’s onshore and higher-level fish processing capacity.
